| I
graduated from MassArt with a BFA in painting, and taught art history,
design, drawing, fashion illustration, and multi-media at The School of
the Museum of Fine Arts, The Art Institute of Boston, and The School of
Fashion Design. After having two children, I started making jewelry and selling it to galleries and boutiques around Boston. I have an unusual jewelry making technique. I use a riveting press. This allows me to combine metal parts with other media, like ribbon, lace, and chain. The metal is brass with nickel-free plate. I frost glass stones to create a glowing effect. I also include semi-precious stones and antique glass beads. My designs vary from a paired down modern look to ornate vintage styles. Each season I invent new pieces finding fresh combinations of color and form. |
